WHO YOU ARE
You are an eager individual who is looking for an opportunity to help children with special needs reach their full potential. As a Summer Intern, you will be hands-on within the business assisting with clerical work, sitting in on therapy sessions, and engaging directly with the clients.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Clerical Support - Assist with clerical tasks of the business during the school day
Observation - Sit in and observe therapeutic sessions with providers and clinic staff
Engagement - Be directly engaged with our summer clients
Other responsibilities as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with at least 1 year worth of credits completed
Willing to commit to the intern position for the duration of our Extended School Year
Willing to work some evening hours from 2pm to 6pm
Willing to complete 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician Training (to be completed before they start working at the clinic via an online training)
Willing to learn, get hands-on experience, and support the Hope team
Experience working with individuals with developmental delays (Preferred)
Clearances & Training Required
Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Human Services
Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
CPR/First Aid
TB/Physical
