What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gastropub Service Manager position at The Hoppy Monk?

We are looking for a motivated front of house shift leader to oversee daily operations during designated shifts, supervise employees, and ensure that our customers receive outstanding service.
To be successful as a shift leader, you should be able to manage a team of people and ensure that all duties are performed accurately. Ultimately, a top shift leader should be able to ensure smooth and efficient workflows of our service.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting inventory reports or delegating the task, forecasting orders for beer, wine, liquor and cigars, as well as other essential items
- Training bartenders, servers, dishwashers, greeters, food expediters, bar-backs and all other support staff
- Setting clear expectations and effectively communicating them to the team
- Conducting preliminary interviews for job openings.
- Effectively communicate our core values with up to 60 team members to inspire our culture and lead them with the support of all associate manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Previous experience as a Shift Leader or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Experience creating shift schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Confident problem-solver.
- Team player.
The Hoppy Monk is an independent and family-owned pub that focuses on supporting independent breweries and distilleries. We have a scratch kitchen that uses organic produce, pasture raised meats, and wild caught fish from local farmers & ranchers whenever possible.
Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
