The Housekeeping Manager at The Horse Shoe Farm is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations within the resort, ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction are maintained. This role involves managing a team of housekeeping staff, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring that all areas of the resort, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, are meticulously maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, ensuring all team members are trained and working to the highest standards.
- Provide clear direction and feedback, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
- Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage, minimizing disruptions and maximizing efficiency.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to brand standards.
- Oversee the implementation of cleaning protocols and health and safety procedures.
- Respond to guest feedback promptly, resolving any housekeeping-related concerns to ensure total satisfaction.
Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all housekeeping inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and usage of cleaning materials, linens, and guest amenities.
Guest Experience:
- Ensure that guest rooms are prepared to the highest standards for arrival and that special requests are handled promptly.
- Promote a culture of excellence in customer service and anticipate guest needs to ensure a memorable stay.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments, including Front Desk, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage, to coordinate housekeeping operations and ensure smooth guest experiences.
- Provide reports and updates on housekeeping performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a luxury or high-end resort environment.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and procedures.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk or stand for long periods.
