What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at The Horse Shoe Farm?
The Horse Shoe Farm is an 85-acre boutique resort in the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains. This spectacular property is looking for the right person to join the team as a Night Auditor, to perform an array of tasks to guarantee excellent guest service. The ideal candidate is a hospitality-driven, detail-oriented, passionate person who can multitask.
Job Duties
- Night Audit - 11:30PM-7:30AM Shift
- Perform all night audit procedures as set forth by the company, on a daily basis.
- Organize, confirm and process guest check-ins/ check-outs and adapt for any changes, take room reservations, handle guest requests promptly, and process all changes and cancellations.
- At check-in, confirm that guest information is accurate and up-to-date; take payment from guest and adjust rates and billing accordingly, if necessary; activate room keys.
- Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities and local interests
- Identify and explain room features to guests; provide guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest.
- Run and review daily reports/logs.
- Count and balance bank at beginning and end of shift. Complete cashier and closing reports, and drop cash payments in safe.
- Make sure lobby, and restaurant stay clean and prepared for AM shift.
- Acts as the Manager on Duty during night time hours.
- Run daily reports, reviewing to see what needs to be communicated to the next shift’s staff
- Communicate any emergency, lost item or theft to proper security staff and/or authorities
- Keep contingency lists in case of emergency and communicate any necessary messages
Job Requirements
- Computer knowledge
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Prior experience working as a night auditor or front desk agent
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to run local errands in company vehicle if needed
- Ability to climb stairs, bend and lift up to 35 pounds
