What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Hand/Hose Technician position at The Hose Connetion Inc?
Overview
We are looking to add to our team. Must be able to accurately read a simple tape measure, do industrial math, be 17 or older, & thrive in a fast paced environment. Your job will vary from learning the parts that we stock to being able to build/assemble our products while our customers wait so doing this in a timely (but accurate) manner is a must. Your job will be indoors.
Responsibilities
- Load & Unload materials and correctly placing them in the correct bins.
- Apply & develop the basic skills in procedures, daily tasks & techniques.
- Operate forklifts to move materials and finished products within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking materials and supplies used during production.
- Manually lift raw materials (50 lbs)
Qualifications
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours a week.
- Be on time every day.
- Familiarity with assembly line processes and techniques is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other machinery relevant to fabrication tasks.
- Forklift knowledge is a plus but not needed
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods as required by the job.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
