Job Title: Registered Nurse
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care to all age groups, ensuring high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for a group of patients.
- Supervise assigned nursing personnel, collaborating with other healthcare professionals and coordinating ancillary staff.
- Demonstrate professional growth and development in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice at the clinical setting.
- Provide direct or indirect patient care to all developmental ages.

Maintenance of Operations:
The RN conducts frequent rounds throughout the entire nursing home to ensure appropriate function of operations, maintaining currency with respect to new policies and procedures published.
Nursing Staff Direction:
The RN provides direction to nursing staff in the delivery of resident care, consistently monitoring compliance with standard of care by observation, verbal reports, and written documentation; regularly giving feedback to staff as appropriate.
Crisis and Emergency Situations:
The RN intervenes during crisis and emergency situations, providing leadership to the staff and consistently monitoring and following nursing home policy with respect to transferring and receiving residents to and from the hospital and/or other facilities.
Public Relations:
The RN fosters exceptional public relations for the nursing home, interacting with residents, family members, and the general public in a positive manner.
Leadership and Teamwork:
The RN demonstrates resourcefulness and provides leadership during periods of stress within the nursing staff, building a positive work environment by guiding employees to support the mission of the nursing home, providing developmental opportunities, and encouraging teamwork.
Educational Requirements:
A graduate of a school of nursing with reasoning, mathematical, and English language skills of this level of education. Nursing skills as defined by the laws governing the practice of nursing in the State of Georgia.
Additional Skills:
Basic Computer Skills, ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, additional languages preferred, and willingness to accept assignments to special projects.
