The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.
The Utility Aide performs a variety of tasks and is responsible for maintaining quality, cleanliness and ongoing sanitation of all dish room and food service production areas.
Washes pots, dishes and equipment. (Labor intensive requiring you to be on your feet up to 6 hours at one time)
Performs all main dish-room tasks (including cart cleaning, loading/unloading dishwasher, etc.)
Mop and sanitize all food prep floor areas
Assist with special cleaning projects
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Wears appropriate shoes and PPE (gloves) in all food service areas to avoid injury
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Additional languages a plus
