Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospitalist team. The ideal candidate will provide medical care to adult patients admitted to the general medical floors and in some cases, critical care units. You will work with the entire team of Board Certified Physicians to assist in formulating a treatment plan and preparing a safe discharge process.
Duties
- Daily rounds on medical patients and providing direct patient care.
- Writing a cohesive daily progress note.
- Placing appropriate orders.
- Interpreting lab and radiology results.
- Creating a safe discharge plan.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families about health management and disease prevention.
- Participate in infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- Ability to perform history taking.
- Ability to perform physical assessment.
- Ability to interpret medical tests and imaging study results.
- Ability to manage and coordinate a patient caseload.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform a variety of tasks and skills in area of assignment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem solving and excellent critical thinking and leadership.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and protocols.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to ask for help when you feel like help is needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $97.39 - $99.70 per hour
