Duties :
- Provide a warm welcome and fond farewell to guests dining in Ariccia, Piccolo, or Thrive
- Greet all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develop a rapport with customers by learning their names and preferences
- Utilize OpenTable to manage guest reservations and seatings to optimize overall flow for both FOH and BOH teams
- Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
- Escort guests to their tables and deliver clean and accurate menus to each seat; assist guests with chairs following Forbe's standards
- Ensure that all special occasions are being recorded and communicated to both FOH and BOH staff
- Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information
- Answer telephone in a courteous and friendly manner; assist with guest requests / questions or direct them to the appropriate channel
- Collect orders for to-go and in-room dining, and input into the POS
- Assist with Thrive Café operations as needed
- Assist with running food from the expo window to guests' tables without announcing food following proper procedures
- Monitor and observe guest's experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the beverages and service. Anticipate and respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Communicate effectively with front of house and back of house team members to ensure a highly executed dining experience.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge and ability to answer questions about our food, beverage, and overall restaurant and hotel offerings.
- Perform mise en place, opening and closing side work for daily service based on business levels expected.
- Always maintain a neat and clean work environment; ensure overall restaurant ambience is maintained throughout each shift
- Oversee our guests' experience following Ariccia's and IHP's standards of service
- Be available to perform lateral service as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
