Trestle Studio proudly launches The Hotel Chalet, a new boutique lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga at The Chattanooga Choo Choo, and is building an opening team of motivated leaders who are enthusiastic about creating a unique space where culture, elevated service standards, and authentic hospitality are paramount.
The property, formerly operated as The Choo Choo Hotel, features 127 guest rooms, including 25 within restored vintage train carriages, an original bar and restaurant concept with parlor, patio, and courtyard service, a 3,000SF ballroom, a fitness center, and an alpine pool. With an emphasis on the rich history of the hotel and surrounding area, and the boundless opportunity for adventure in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, The Hotel Chalet welcomes travelers who seek adventure, timeless style, and intrinsic comfort.
JOB OVERVIEW:
You’ll lead an overnight team that is welcoming and approachable; and who understands that personalized service is what will make guests tell their friends about us and want to return. You will work closely with the Hotel Manager and Front Office Manager to communicate and execute all hotel initiatives, resulting in a seamless guest experience.
Job Description
o Lead and manage all aspects of the Front Office department and ensure all service standards are followed
o Directly oversee the Overnight Team – Front Desk, PBX, Bellman, Room Service, Engineering and Security.
o Assist in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest expectations.
o Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
o Assist all Department Managers in ensuring high level of guest satisfaction and ensure all complaints are addressed appropriately
o Ensure that employees are consistently attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient in their interactions with guests, management and all other employees.
o Monitor and develop employee performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
o Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings
o Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs
o Oversee training of all overnight employees
o Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards
o Follow hotel safety policies and procedures
o Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Director of Front Office or management of the Hotel
Qualifications:
• Previous leadership experience in a similar role required. • A minimum of one year’s front office or night audit supervisory or management experience required. • Previous experience with a Property Management system required. • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required. • College degree in a related discipline preferred. • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. • Highly responsible & reliable. • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team. • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.

Hours: 11pm-7 am
