The property, formerly operated as The Choo Choo Hotel, features 127 guest rooms, including 25 within restored vintage train carriages, an original bar and restaurant concept, Elsie’s Daughter, with parlor, patio, and courtyard service, a 3,000SF ballroom, a fitness center, and an alpine pool. With an emphasis on the rich history of the hotel and surrounding area, and the boundless opportunity for adventure in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, The Hotel Chalet welcomes travelers who seek adventure, timeless style, and intrinsic comfort.
Elsie’s Daughter, an Appalachian bistro nestled in Chattanooga as part of The Hotel Chalet, is searching for enthusiastic and attentive Servers to join our team for both breakfast and evening shifts. As a Server at Elsie’s Daughter, you’ll be the face of our restaurant, providing friendly and efficient service while helping guests feel at home. Qualifications:
- Previous serving experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, with a willingness to learn about our Appalachian-inspired menu.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability for early morning or evening shifts as needed.
Job Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner, presenting menus and explaining any specials.
- Take food and drink orders, accurately entering them into the POS system, and relay any dietary restrictions or preferences to the kitchen.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, checking back with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized section, assisting with resetting tables and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Provide support to the team by helping with side work, running food, and assisting in other areas as needed.
- Assist in opening and closing duties, ensuring the dining area is set up and ready for the next shift.
