The Tony Hotel is seeking a talented and professional Houseperson for the Housekeeping Department to join our beautiful hotel.

Compensation:
$14.78 / hour
Responsibilities:
- Clean, which includes making beds, cleaning guestroom patios, balconies, and bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, wiping sinks and counters, washing windows, cleaning showers, mirrors, and toilets, taking out the trash, etc.
- Use brooms, mops, squeegees, cleaning brushes, and various cleaners and sanitizers to accomplish assigned cleaning tasks.
- Understand the proper use and care of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, public restrooms, office areas, elevators, and stairs.
- Report all problems and maintenance repairs needed.
- Replace amenities and restock cleaning supplies.
- Unload/load housekeeping carts with supplies.
- Assist guests quickly, patiently, and with a friendly attitude.
- Provide guests with information on hotel amenities and give directions when necessary.
- Inspect public areas for the general condition of lights, heat, A/C, chairs, tables, desks, counters, television, radio, and bathrooms.
- Ensure that guest spaces and lobby are always clean and tidy.
- Clean assigned areas and assist other departments as needed.
- Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and hotel policies.
- Communicate all pertinent information to your manager.
- Maintain a safe environment by following the hotel’s standards and legal regulations.
- Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor to include cross-training.
Requirements
· Ability to communicate in English.
· Meet minimum age requirement for jurisdiction.
· Previous housekeeping experience helpful.
· Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
