JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Sales Manager-

JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager has overall responsibility for revenue generation for direct group bookings in the local market. To have daily, weekly and monthly sales generation goals with developed pipeline of prospective groups and local industries with projects coming into Orange Texas over the next year. From setting up direct booking from local industries to targeting contractors and groups that are coming into town for long-stay. Our priority is for Sales Manager to go out to construction project sites and promote our offering to the crews on the job sites. The Sales manager will also go to all business and networking event in Golden Triangle area for outreach.
2 hrs Daily In the Field work documented with lead generation and promoting hotel to all projects in 5 to 30 mile radius.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- College degree or High School Diploma with related experience
Experience
- Previous hotel sales experience
- Two years of BT sales experience is preferred

JOB DUTIES:
- Develop plan for sales, and set and execute daily, weekly and monthly sales from lead generation to writing contracts.
- Effectively communicate with GM to review opportunities that impact revenue goals
- Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition reader boards to develop leads
- Conduct weekly sales calls to existing and new accounts, as well as uncover new business in assigned market segment(s)
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new accounts to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, trade shows, etc.
- Generate leads and new business through internet searches, telephone and email solicitations, mailings, referrals, networking, trade shows, professional and community organizations, sales, blitzes, etc.
- Arrange site inspections of the hotel for new accounts
- Maintain accurate sales records in the hotel sales system to provide complete history, ensure future and current quality of service and enhance future prospects
- Respond to all sales inquiries within 24 business hours
- Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
- Responsible for negotiating sales contracts and the implementation and set up as required
- Analyze historical, current and future hotel/market trends and develop strategies to maximize occupancy and average rate of hotel through creative and selective selling
- Assist in the development of the annual budget and quarterly owner reviews
- Participate in management meetings to discuss budget, forecast and rate
- Partner with operations team to coordinate customer specifications, effectively respond to customer issues and comments to ensure customer satisfaction
- Adjust work schedule as needed to meet the business demands, which may include hours in early morning, evening and/or weekend hours
- Other duties as assigned
- Requires a working knowledge and monitoring of social networking including Facebook and LinkedIn
- Posses or develops a working knowledge of third party sites such as Priceline, Travelocity, Orbitz and Hotels.com and fosters a relationship with said marketing managers
- Interaction with hospitality review sites such as Trip Advisor, Google, Yelp and others
- Possess or will acquire a working knowledge of Google Mail, Google Docs and Google Apps.
- Trained to analyze STR competitive reports on a weekly basis to be included in the sales strategy
- Responsible for End of Month sales reports and provide data to the Director of Sales and General Manager establishing the budget and sales plan
- Act as Manager on Duty when required
- As the position and skillsets evolve other responsibilities may be incorporated and will be discussed in person prior to any implementation
