Description
Basic Function/Overall Responsibilities: Responsible for all clerical and administrative needs of the assigned program while maintaining confidentiality within all aspects of the Agency.
Principal Assigned Responsibilities:
General:
- Reception & telephone communication.
- Prepare office correspondence including letters, memos, documentation and special projects when requested.
- Data entry and reports retrieval and analysis as needed
- General filing, photocopying, faxing, ordering supplies, and arranging equipment repair.
- Proofread material accurately.
- Collect and sort mail, as well as, deliver to respective parties.
- Update schedules, rosters, calendars and appointment data on an as needed basis.
- Monitor the sign-out and return of agency records (records security) in accordance with approved practice.
- Active participation in program and Agency-wide Quality Assessment and Improvement activities in accordance with the Agency's ongoing Quality
- Improvement Program.
- Other miscellaneous clerical duties as requested by appropriate supervisor.
Specific:
1. As specified by program necessitates, certain skills may be utilized to fulfill the requirements of the position.
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirement:
l. Minimum of High School or Equivalency including secretarial studies
2. Two years of administrative experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities and Competencies:
l. Commitment to following and embracing the Seven Commitments of our Sanctuary Model.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills
3. Good verbal and written communication skills;
4. Computer, keyboarding, typing proficiency;
5. Must be able to set priorities and complete assignments in a timely fashion.
6. Valid New York State driver's license.
