Salary Range:    $67,376.00 - $77,376.00 Salary/year
Travel Percentage:    Up to 25%
Job Shift:    Day

Description


Basic Function/Overall Responsibilities: Ensure the development and implementation of an individualized, trauma informed and holistic treatment plan for foster care children utilizing the Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) model. Provide clinical services specific to the child’s needs to accomplish identified program outcomes aimed at child stabilization and success in the home, school, and community.  


Principal Assigned Responsibilities:

  • Provide weekly individual therapy to foster care children utilizing the TFCO treatment model. This includes introducing new behavioral, coping, and social skills and practicing these in sessions using strategic positive reinforcement and coaching interventions. 
  • Be available to child via phone calls as needed. 
  • Coordinate treatment efforts and interventions with the TFCO Family Clinician.
  • Participate as the co-lead clinical member of the weekly TFCO Team Meetings specific to each child on assigned caseload. Ensure the development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan, utilizing a strength-based approach. Monitor implementation of treatment plans and revise as necessary.
  • If applicable, collaborate with the child’s overall service team as it pertains to the stabilization and success of the child. This may extend beyond the TFCO Team, including, but not limited to, community/mental health providers.
  • Provide initial and ongoing assessments of foster care children receiving services.
  • Attend additional meetings as deemed necessary by the treatment needs of assigned caseload.
  • Provide record keeping and documentation for all clinical activities (case documentation). 
  • Ensure that the frequency, nature, and location of clinical contacts follow agency policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain required documentation associated with the provision of services in a timely and accurate manner via the agency’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and OCFS Connections System as required by relevant regulatory bodies. Clinical documentation includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Psychosocial assessment and/or semi-annual assessment updates.
  • Individualized, comprehensive treatment plans that accurately reflect specific discharge criteria, client-centered goals, measurable objectives, child/family participation in the development process, and modalities/methods designed to help the child/family meet the criteria for discharge, and periodic progress notes relevant to goals and objectives on client treatment plan.
  • Treatment progress documentation as required by agency’s standards and relevant regulatory bodies. 
  • Other documentation associated with the provision of services (e.g., incident reports, court reports).
  • Partner with staff from other disciplines and /or Foster Parents as relevant to assist in ongoing program evaluation, development and staff training in treatment-related skill areas.
  • Provide crisis management and problem-solving support services for caseloads within the context of the child's home, school and/or agency program as deemed necessary.
  • Participate in program-specific on-call procedure as needed. 
  • Successful completion of all training as defined by program and/or agency policy. Provision of training as requested by supervisor and the agency Training Department.
  • Maintain and continually develop clinical skills and competencies by actively participating in regular    individual and group clinical supervision, agency trainings and professional workshops or conferences as defined by program and agency competency standards.
  • Participation in program and agency-wide performance improvement activities as requested.
  • Other associated tasks as assigned by supervisor.


 

Qualifications


Education and Experience Requirements:
1.    Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling or marriage and family therapy, licensure or limited permit required.
2.    One-year post-graduate experience in a child welfare or behavioral health setting highly preferred.
3.    Experience treating children and adolescents with behavioral challenges is preferred.
