Position Title: Quality Control Analyst
Department: Real Estate Asset and Property Management
Reports To: SVP, Asset and Property Management

Salary Range: 60,000.00 -75,000.00
Position Summary:
Reporting to the SVP, Real Estate and Property Management, this position will focus on compliance and operational strategies related to AH Development Partners and portfolio management involving Federally-assisted housing. Provides guidance to internal departments and external partners on mitigating compliance, legal, financial and operational performance risks within the Atlanta Housing operation. Develop monitoring reports, advisory guidance, and corrective action plans and recommendations to address regulatory and operational performance challenges. Will ensure compliance and performance findings and corrective action plans are implemented. Conduct policy research and provide rapid-responses to regulatory and policy matters to support internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and maintains up-to-date workflows and narratives on departmental business processes.
- Develops and implements routine tests of internal controls and to ensure compliance with AHA policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates change management activities and maintain up-to-date departmental Operations Manual.
- Identify and establish key controls to ensure data integrity; compliance.
- Train HCO staff (i.e. new hires and current staff) on proper departmental business processes and procedures.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to structure and execute a framework for a variety of projects.
- Completes cost / benefit analyses and provides key drivers / inputs to ensure correct business decisions.
Planning & Analysis:
- Creates, improves, and maintains near and long-term strategic financial and operations models.
- Develops ad-hoc metrics analyses and operational efficiency analyses.
- Collaborates with members of departmental functional teams to develop and communicate a shared understanding of operational performance drivers and key metrics.
- Develops business models to identify and assess business opportunities and enable the development of tactical and strategic plans based on the results of the modeling and analyses.
- Creates and communicates financial and business metrics reports and scorecards and other Business Intelligence to senior management, as a tool to run operations.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Data Integration Analyst to develop and establish Business Intelligence Dashboard and reports for the department.
- Works with management to set and manage towards key performance targets.
- Generates and maintains ownership over management reporting processes.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in finance, business administration, or other related field preferred, and at least two or more years of progressively responsible experience in Business, Financial Analysis or Auditing of a major program.
A Master’s degree is a plus, but not required.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities will be considered.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Highest degree of proficiency in financial modeling and analysis; skills should include not only Excel expertise, but also abilities to design, communicate, and adjust models to fit business needs and changes.
- Highly detail oriented with a strong sense of ownership over work product.
- Strong analytic, financial modeling and reporting skills required. Must be a self-starter and perform tasks under minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand and synthesize multiple view points and distill information into an impartial analysis for decision making.
- Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, leadership skills, and ability to communicate with a senior management team.
- Ability to work across various functional areas and to interact with individuals across all levels throughout organization.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities with demonstrated ability to “see the forest through the trees".
- Superior written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to changing conditions. Example: Develop a strong understanding of company initiatives, including the “Moving To Work Program” within 90 days from date of hire. Excellent analytical skills: an attention to detail with a focus on results, the ability to analyze raw data and apply creative/innovative analysis, and the capability to form key, succinct, and actionable insights/recommendations.
Working Conditions:
Generally works in office environment. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work in a deadline-focused and fast-paced environment. May be required to have valid State of Georgia driver’s license and be fully insurable for the purpose of obtaining clearance on company “Authorized Driver’s List.” Occasional overtime as required to meet workload demands.
