What are the responsibilities and job description for the Affordable Housing Specialist position at The Housing Authority of the City of Hagerstown?
Conducts interviews of Affordable Housing residents to determine continued occupancy as required by HUD regulations and Housing Authority Policy. Performs Annual and interim rent determinations and other household compliance needs such as adjustment of rent statements and repayment agreements. Maintains case load files.
Minimum three years' experience in general office practice. Must have thorough knowledge of modern office practices, equipment and possess proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office products. This position requires the ability to work independently with culturally diverse populations, to have logical thinking sequence with the ability to calculate annual income and rent, to pay attention to precise details, to be deadline oriented, and to have high standards in ethics.
Salary scale based on experience $36,788 to $40,558. Annual Step increases up to $62,919. Excellent employee benefits to include employer paid Healthcare and Life Insurance.
