Position: Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Assistant

About Us:
We are a busy and dynamic GYN office seeking a professional, friendly, and highly motivated individual to join our team as the second Front Desk Coordinator at our Warner Robins location. In this dual role, you will not only be the first point of contact for our office, but also assist with patient care tasks , including handling vital signs, injections, blood draws, and assisting with documentation in our EMR system. The ideal candidate will be personable, have a strong background in both front and back office medical duties, and demonstrate a strong commitment to exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Answer multiple telephone lines and provide accurate information.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork.
- Assist with patient registration and update patient records in the EMR system.
- Send and receive medical records as required.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Patient Care Duties:
- Assist with taking vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and accurately record results in the EMR system.
- Administer injections and assist with blood draws.
- Provide assistance with patient care under the direction of our provider.
- Ensure proper documentation and updates in the patient's medical record.
- Assist the clinical team in preparing patients for examination.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Experience with taking vital signs, administering injections, drawing blood, and general patient care.
- Proficient in using EMR systems, phone systems, computerized scheduling software, and other office equipment.
- Strong typing skills with excellent accuracy.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff.
Training:
- The first two weeks of training for this position will take place in our main office located in Tifton, GA (1948 Old Ocilla Road, Tifton, GA 31794).
