- Seeking a dynamic Safety Supervisor with strong leadership skills, ability to identify / mitigate risks and develop safety control programs for one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. - Manage Contractor safety program that engages employees, Subcontractor and vendors at all levels.
- Ability to anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices associated with the contractor safety program.
- Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures and programs to supplement the contractor safety program.
- Lead and advise contractor related risk assessment reviews and processes.
- Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
- Review and audit pre-task plans, site risk analyses and standard operating procedures.
- Instruct safety related classes as necessary such as mobile elevated work platforms, LOTO, Fall protection, Electrical Safety, etc.
- Time management spent in the field and working closely with Contractors, vendors, and field safety team personnel.
- Work with a dozen general and subcontractor safety professionals to develop site improvement.
- Participate in daily, weekly or monthly contractor and vendor meetings.
- Drive timely completion of investigations and corrective actions associated with incidents, near-miss incidents, and compliance inspections.
- Assist with the daily management of the tiered auditing program including closure of facility's preventative and corrective action plans.
- Ensure records are maintained in compliance with internal, local, state, provincial, and federal EHS laws, regulations, permits and program
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel on site required. Bilingual in Spanish and English is a must.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of HSE experience in construction, manufacturing and / or contractor management.
- Certification such as CSP, CIH, CHST, SHEP, CSHO.
- Extensive working knowledge of state and federal laws / regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT).
- Familiarity with hazardous materials, related regulations and NIOSH standards.
- Flexible to work on weekends
- Proficiency in MS Office Programs,
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, environmental science or safety science.
- Experience in designing programs and procedures that control, eliminate, and prevent injuries / illnesses and environmental incidents.
- Working knowledge of OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Strong preference for experience at a semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) facility.
- Strong preference for experience in electrical substation construction and commissioning.
- Experience dealing with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
- Must be a local resident in Austin metro area (On-site)
