Position Overview
We are looking for a Dog Daycare Front Desk/Attendant to help us kick off a new daycare service at The Hub, which will complement our regular programming (group classes, private sessions, events, drop-in, etc.). The ideal candidate will have experience working with dogs in any of the following contexts: pet daycare, boarding, humane societies, shelters, zoos, dog training facilities, petsitting, etc. It's important that the candidate be comfortable implementing positive reinforcement techniques and assessing and supervising dog temperaments to create safe play environments. This role requires proactivity, adaptability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with dogs of all ages, breeds, and behavioral backgrounds.
All staff at The Hub have access to state-of-the-art technology, including teleconferencing capabilities, instant replay video capture, modular training equipment, and AI-assisted session documentation. Our custom-built app streamlines client communication and minimizes administrative workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to work the front desk or be supervising on the floor.
- Comfort communicating with prospective and current clients (strong customer service skills), and selling interested parties in the concept of The Hub and on the daycare options.
- Read dog body language to anticipate escalating behavior and intervene early.
- Decide which zone within the facility makes sense for the dogs' level of exertion and play styles.
- Ensure the dogs receive enough food and water.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for both dogs and owners.
- Follow cleaning protocols and address potty accidents immediately to maintain a sanitary environment for humans and dogs.
- Keep notes on the dogs' profile to share with the client as updates or to communicate to the broader Hub team as issues to be aware of.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with dogs in a daycare, boarding, or training environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to be a strong team player.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Passion for self-improvement, problem-solving, and continually honing the skills of reading and influencing dog interactions though positive reinforcement techniques.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.75 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
