Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at The Hudson Rose located in Nutley, New Jersey. The Sous Chef will be responsible for daily preparation and production of food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, assisting in menu planning, and supervising kitchen staff. The Sous Chef will also collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure high-quality food and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills including food preparation and cooking
- Experience in menu planning and kitchen management
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants is a plus
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
