Job Description: Facilities Tech - Cannabis Farm and Manufacturing Facility
As a Facilities Tech at our cannabis farm and manufacturing facility, your primary focus will be on construction projects and facility maintenance to ensure the functionality, safety, and overall appearance of our operations. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for various projects as well as ongoing maintenance duties, to support the smooth operation of our growing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of facilities.
- Complete unique and ongoing maintenance projects throughout the facility
- Assist with the construction and repair of structures for facility improvements and expansions.
- Help maintain a clean and organized facility, focusing on structural upkeep and repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the integrity and longevity of various fixtures and components.
- Support waste management processes, including recycling and disposal of materials.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
- Support compliance efforts related to industry regulations and standards.
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to prioritize tasks and address urgent maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions.
- May exercise functional supervision over an individual or a small number of employees engaged in maintenance, repairs, installations, and inspections
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction and general facility maintenance, preferably in an agricultural or manufacturing setting.
- Competence in carpentry techniques, including framing, drywall, and general repairs.
- Preference to candidates that can provide their own set of tools for carpentry and maintenance tasks.
- Basic understanding of general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently on projects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift/move heavy objects and materials.
- Must be 21 and able to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
