Job Description
About the Role
The Huntington seeks a talented and experienced Security Officer to join our team. Officers will ensure the
safety and protection of our staff, visitors, collections and property.
S / he / they will demonstrate a background of working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic,
geographic and socioeconomic backgrounds, using a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible approach.
Essential Duties
- Inspect and patrol premises regularly.
- Monitor assigned areas in the gardens, galleries, or library, ensuing visitors and collections are safe; may respond to emergencies and assist in evacuations.
- Work weekends and most holidays (The Huntington is closed to the public on July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.)
- May perform other related duties as assigned
