The Licensed Vocational Nurse Clinic Supervisor’s main responsibilities are to lead the clinic team with outstanding patient care, assist medical providers in clerical duties as defined in the Licensed Vocational Nurse Scope of Practice, and ensure streamlined, efficient, and compliant front/back office process and workflow. The LVN Clinic Supervisor will work collaboratively with the Nursing director and report to the Clinic Manager.

Job Responsibilities & Duties
1. Directs, coordinates, and facilitates the daily work of a primary care team.
2. Ensures that the team’s Direct Patient Care, Office and Administrative Duties are completed accurately, on time and consistent with established procedures and in a manner that reflects the health center’s core values.
3. Ensure and maintain site specific insurances, licenses, certifications, and contracts are up to date.
4. Works with team and other clinic personnel to handle normal day-to-day operational challenges and solve routine problems.
5. Actively models and develops a team culture focused on ensuring maximum access to care, a high level of clinical quality, continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
6. Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of back/front office, coaching MA/PSRs team in these proper processes when needed.
7. Ensure the clinic operated efficiently and is always prepared for audits.
8. Serves as a mentor and coach to Medical Assistants and Front Office personnel. Works with the Clinic Manager to develop Medical Assistant and PSR staff job-specific and values-based core competencies. Responsible for onboarding new employees, identifies training opportunities and helps facilitate the delivery of training activities.
9. Assists the Clinic Manager with assessing the ability of all staff to fulfill the essential functions of their position and works with the providers and Ops team to develop and conduct staff trainings.
10. Assists the Clinic Manager with conducting annual employee evaluations, interviewing, hiring and firing of Medical and Front Desk personnel.
11. Responsible for ordering supplemental supplies, vaccines, reporting any excursions, expired vaccines, and returns of vaccines.
12. Supports the Clinic Manager with all program audits (CalOptima, VFC/A, CHDP, State and Federal Agencies)
13. Review time clock entries and approve time sheets to ensure accurate submission to payroll.
14. Upholds and leads the back office team in adherence to the policies, procedures, and standards of Hurtt Family Health Clinic.
15. Case Management of Critical patients utilizing “Population Management Reports”
16. Explain lab results, Diagnostic Imaging, other diagnostic test results to patients.
17. Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary care team and support services, including Physicians, Medical Assistants, PSRs, and others.
18. Consistently follows Policies and Procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes.
19. Keeps clinic in compliance with Title-22, Cal-Optima, VFC program, CalOptima
20. Performs nursing tasks, demonstrating Clinical Competency.
21. Effectively schedule and assign staff to provide quality care to patients.
22. Assist in coordinating quality improvement activities to ensure we deliver the best possible care at the clinic site.
23. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing patient concerns and complaints; conduct patient satisfaction surveys.
24. Work with the accounting department to ensure timely invoice collection and on-time payments.
25. Ensure compliance with all HFHC policies and procedures, as well as regulatory agencies rules and regulations including HIPPA guidelines.
