Immediate Estimator opportunity with a leading Tampa Bay Custom Home Builder.
Job Description:
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role
- Ability to Estimate Divisions 1-16
- Experience estimating luxury projects $5MM - $15 MM
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar tools)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing construction projects, preparing cost estimates, analyzing bid proposals, and determining project timelines and budgets
- You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints and according to specifications
- Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment needed
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Calculate project costs and assess any risks or potential cost overruns
- Maintain detailed records of estimates and bid documents
- Monitor ongoing projects and compare actual costs with initial estimates to ensure budgets are being adhered to
- Review changes in design, scope, or material specifications and adjust estimates accordingly
- Collaborate with project managers to prepare final bids and proposals
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Stay up to date with the latest construction costs, methods, and materials
- Primarily office-based, with occasional site visits
- May require some evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines
- Ability to travel to different construction sites for inspections and meetings as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
