Qualifications
- You must be familiar with a wide range of worksites, cost structures, and timelines
- Excellent plan and specification reading skills
- Proficient in Excel spreadsheets
- Scoping projects
- Strong communication skills
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5 Years in Residential & Commercial Roof Estimating
- West Palm Beach, FL 33403: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Responsibilities
- Your job duties include surveying potential worksites, collaborating with contractors, vendors, and labor agencies, and providing a comprehensive cost analysis for potential clients
- Every estimate needs to address all relevant governmental regulations
- Prepare and estimate budget costs by studying plans and specifications
- Conceptual budgeting
- Analyzing subcontractor proposal and scopes
- Preparation of RFIs and communication with professionals
- Quantity takeoffs, use of On-Screen Takeoff a plus
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Science/Management or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years working experience as construction estimator.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, On-screen Takeoff, & Plan Swift among other Estimating software or other types of construction software programs.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Must be organized and able to manage all aspects of a construction project.
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver.
- Able to work with an establish Project team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
