Ice Cream Server/Cashier

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and execute daily ice cream production plans

• Maintenance and care of production equipment and tools
• Effectively use and update proprietary ice cream inventory management software
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas
• Clearly communicate needs or issues with shop managers
• Greet customers to make them feel comfortable and welcome
• Serve customers and handle cash and credit transactions
• Follow The Ice Cream Café operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety/security to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift
• Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items
• Quickly and accurately prepare menu items including ice cream, shakes, cakes, and ice cream bars
• Check quality and temperatures throughout the day to ensure quality and safety standards are met or exceeded
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures including knife handling and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and ensure proper set up and/or breakdown of the entire shop including queue, restrooms, scooper and prep areas
• Effectively handle customer concerns and complaints
• Work as a team to prepare the shop for each shift
• Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture of The Ice Cream Café
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
• Contributes to a positive team environment

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Impeccable organization and planning skills
• Mastery of basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percent’s, ratios and both English units of measurement and the metric system.
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.25 - $15.00 per hour
