Counter Help

Overview
We are seeking an adult that is responsible, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Counter Help. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their orders, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties

• Responsible for opening and securing the store, setting alarm and depositing cash into the safe.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them in placing their orders.
• Operate the POS system efficiently to process transactions.
• Prepare food items according to safety and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including bussing tables and cleaning surfaces.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to provide a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with retail math and basic math skills to handle transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Experience using POS systems, particularly Square, is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weights as needed.
