JOB SUMMARY
Ensures accuracy of transactions and activities to maintain/control plant inventory and serves as a critical link with site team members in creating and maintaining an effective team. Working with and instructing the UAW, proactively functioning together with tight coordination of efforts. Oversees our General Stores and Receiving dock.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs duties with limited supervision following established procedures and deadlines.
- Provides direct supervision of department hourly union and non-union resources.
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Observes all local and national labor agreements
- Assigns labor and individuals to cover activities per time requirements
- Maintains department overtime board
- Oversees/performs cycle counts and ensures inventory accuracy
- Verify variances resulting from daily cycle counts before they are entered into the system
- Assists customers (internal and external) by identifying and troubleshooting non-conforming transactions, errors, and discrepancies.
- Corrects shipping and receiving errors as needed
- Compiles data from PO(s), invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and utilizes the computer system to maintain inventory, shipping, purchasing, or other records
- Works directly with the Site Manager regarding all inventory related projects
- Works directly with the Site Manager with reviewing excess inventory, identifying means and ways to justify extraction of non-used, obsolete parts out of active inventory retained at warehouse or POU’s
- Prepares and maintains documentation of processes and procedures for all floor activities
- Provides required training and records thereof
- Assists site team members in matters as defined by Site Manager/Site Supervisor
- Other tasks/duties as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years plus work experience in inventory control or equivalency.
- Must have at least basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.
