Description
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable Manager to join our fast-paced accounting team.
As a Senior Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to accounts receivable, including monitoring and analyzing financial transactions, managing collections, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing with legal regulations. You will also work with other departments to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and standards, as well as exceptional organizational and communication skills. You will play a critical role in maintaining strong relationships within our multiple companies and ensure that the company's financial goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of accounts receivable representatives, providing guidance and support in handling collection activities and resolving customer disputes. You will act as a liaison between the team and the Controller.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and finance, to resolve customer inquiries and address any billing-related concerns
- Implement best practices and procedures for the accounts receivable function, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Monitor and analyze customer accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
- Process customer payments via various payment methods (i.e. credit card, check, ACH, etc.)
- Review and approve credit applications for new and existing customers
- Oversee the collections process, including contacting customers to collect on outstanding balances and escalating collection efforts as necessary
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
