Midnight Oil a division of The Imagine Group, strategically located in "the heart of Hollywood" in Burbank, CA, is an extraordinarily creative, and specialty print production partner to many theatrical and streaming studios, with relationships often measured in terms of decades, not years. Position Summary:

The Premedia Lead is responsible for managing multiple projects and facilitating the production of prepress files to meet client objectives as well as understanding how files are built and can update files directly. This role works closely with our production operators to ensure all information and materials are properly delivered for project completion. We are looking for a highly organized and effective communicator/operator to ensure relevant project information and deliverables are met.

Work Location: Onsite at our Burbank, CA facility.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day client communication and vital responsibilities related to multiple projects.
• Effectively communicate relevant project information to leadership and account teams which may affect performance, relationships, deliverables, quality, and job costs.
• Can update files or make corrections, if needed, directly into production files.
• Maintain template consistency and file quality for print and electronic media, which includes performing various upload and download tasks.
• Adhere to deadlines and support the account services team regarding campaign/project milestones.
• Troubleshoot and problem solves file issues as they relate to file setup and printing.
• Utilize internal job ticket and tracking systems to manage job entries and the upkeep of work records.
• Coordinate the preflight, production, output, and approval of proofs.
• Follow company Security Policies and asset management protocols.
• Coordinate with the color lead for all color/finishing needs.
• Ensure that quality, color, content etc. meets 3^rdparty vendor specifications and work with the 3^rd party vendor on how best to deliver files and ship color proofs if needed.
• Demonstrated experience closing out projects, which includes the billing process in partnership with the accounting team.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years professional experience with project management, or a print production discipline.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Agency and/or Entertainment industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Creative Adobe Suite Illustrator / Photoshop / InDesign / Acrobat, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other peripherals such as font management and FTP software
• Diverse understanding of the graphic arts industry as it applies to pre-media, printing, large format digital printing, retail display and new technologies (Preferred).
• Understanding of general production workflow
• Well versed in the prepress process for theatrical, streaming, retail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize a client’s likes and dislikes.
• Excellent project coordination skills with the ability to identify and solve problems before they arise.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in any language (including ASL) preferred.

The national pay range for this role is $35.07-$38.46/ year or hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
