We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Radiology Scheduler to join our team at The Imaging Center.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments and managing the imaging modality schedules in a fast-paced radiology environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive timely care while maintaining efficient operations within our facility.
A strong background in medical or radiology scheduling, familiarity with medical software, excellent communication skills and high initiative are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient appointments for various radiology services, ensuring optimal scheduling to meet our patient's needs and efficiency for our modalities.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to maintain accurate patient records and appointment details.
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with health information management standards and proper coding practices, including ICD-10 and CPT codes correctly.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries using phone systems, providing exceptional customer service to patients and our team.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize scheduling efficiency and address any scheduling conflicts and escalate issues with management as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical scheduling or administrative roles within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and health information management practices is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment.
