What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Professional position at The Income Tax center?

We’re hiring a skilled tax professional to help clients file taxes more efficiently. You’ll educate businesses (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 990) and individual clients on tactics to optimize their tax payments and advise them on how to save more in the future. Applicants should be strong communicators who can simplify complex tax information and provide excellent customer service. Compensation : 50 - $75 hourly

Responsibilities :

Check each tax form for accuracy and tax compliance
Go over the client’s financial records including income statements and previous tax returns to calculate the amount of taxable income they have
Use the utmost care when handling documents that contain private client information
Use all eligible tax benefits for the client
Serve as a liaison between tax authorities and the client, submitting the final tax forms on their behalf

Qualifications :

At least five years of experience in tax preparation

Has used standard tax computing software to file returns

Understands state and federal tax laws and can quickly interpret sections of the tax code for basic and atypical tax forms

4-year degree in accounting or finance

Basic computer skills and capacity for using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level

CPA License
