About the Job
We’re building a specialized practice with an emphasis in cosmetic injections in St. Louis from the ground up, so we’re seeking a skilled, experienced, and board-certified physician to join our small (though energetic) team as the facility’s Medical Director. In this role, you will establish treatment protocols, oversee clinical operations, and supervise the facility’s Physician's Assistant and Nurse Practitioner. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Missouri state regulations, maintaining patient safety, and supporting the team in delivering exceptional cosmetic treatments. This is a part-time position with flexible hours to meet state supervision requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight for all cosmetic procedures performed by the NP and PA, including injectables such as Botox, dermal fillers, and other FDA-approved treatments
- Ensure compliance with Missouri state laws and regulations governing cosmetic procedures and medical supervision
- Conduct chart reviews and provide guidance on treatment plans as needed
- Be available for consultation and oversight in accordance with state requirements, which may include in-person or remote availability
- Review and approve protocols, standing orders, and policies to ensure patient safety and clinical excellence
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine and implement evidence-based practices

Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Missouri
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Family Medicine, or similar)
- Experience in aesthetic medicine, particularly with injectable treatments (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers)
- Strong understanding of Missouri’s laws and regulations regarding supervision of mid-level providers in cosmetic medicine
- Commitment to patient safety, compliance, and delivering high-quality results
- Previous experience supervising NPs and/or PAs is preferred
