Primary Care Opportunity: Norton Sound Health Corporation is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team in Stebbins, Alaska. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rural setting, providing high-quality care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
About the Position: As a Nurse Practitioner with our organization, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will also participate in regular quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities: Your primary duties will include:
- Providing comprehensive primary care services to patients in Stebbins and surrounding areas
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring timely and effective communication with colleagues and specialists
- Participating in regular quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a community health practice or setting
- Proven experience working in a cross-cultural environment, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity
- Primary care experience in a rural setting, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by these environments
- BLS certification, with ATLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred but not required
- Eligibility for DEA registration, with experience in teleradiology and telemedicine highly desirable
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system a plus
