Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and ensuring the kitchen is ready for daily service during morning shifts.
Duties & Functions
- Healthy communication with Food & Beverage and Engineering departments and ensure that guest's expectations are met and anticipated.
- Keep workspaces clean, tidy and organized at all times.
- Communicate with the General Manager for any needs, purchases, services or assistance.
- Respond to all guests’ requests or needs in a proper manner and ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Maintains current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities, and services, events in the area, points of interest, and services in the area.
- Arrive early to prepare the kitchen for the day's service
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to prepare ingredients
- Perform basic cooking duties for breakfast and preparations for evening cheese and wine service
- Properly store food items according to safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Assist with inventory management and reporting low stock items
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Clean in a timely manner.
- All other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Set a professional standard with the team that falls in line with the company's culture.
- Have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Display a positive and cheerful demeanor along with a caring personality.
- Good problem solving ability.
- Fluency in reading, writing and spoken English.
Qualifications & Standards
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in food preparation preferred
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation to arrive for early morning shifts
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work in varying temperature conditions
- Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment safely
- ServSafe Certified
