The Inside View is an expanding Interior Design firm with a wide range of diverse commercial, residential and health care clients. As we are growing, we strive to provide excellent Interior Design services to our clients. We are looking for an Interior Designer that shares our same passion, creativity, and professionalism to join our team. Our smaller sized firm offers unique opportunities for professionals to work closely on our design projects. We promote collaboration and encourage you to thrive in our studio while you are given a well- rounded exposure to all facets of the design process. As an Interior Designer you will be collaborating directly with the client and industry partners. You will perform a broad variety of tasks directing the design process and held accountable for the end results. We are conveniently located near commuter rail, major highways, shops, and restaurants in downtown Haverhill.

QUALIFICATIONS:

§  Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA accredited program.

§  At least 5 years of experience in commercial Interior Design with demonstrated project management experience.

§  Can demonstrate proficiency in Revit, including rendering, Photoshop, Microsoft Office.

§  Highly meticulous & organized.

§  Great Interpersonal Skills.

§  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

§  Passion for interior design and ability to take initiative.

§  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

§  Candidates must submit a resume and work samples when applying for this position, including drafting, and rendering examples.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§  Produce high quality design deliverables including FF&E and construction documents.

§  Work on any/all phases of design from Programming, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation and Construction Administration

§  Report to construction project managers on tasks, deliverables, and work directly with them to facilitate project completion.

§  Selecting design components and finishes

§  Project management of multiple projects both commercial and residential.

§  Directing installations and deliveries.

§  Maintains daily tasks list for assigned projects and delegates work to junior designers.

§  Prepares for team meetings pertaining to deliverables and milestones.

§  Conducts meetings with contractors, clients, and other team members and creates presentation material.

§  Understands and demonstrates open and direct communication both verbally and written to your internal and external teams.

§  Ability to accurately measure spaces for floor plans and design elements.

§  Consistently brings fresh ideas to projects, keep up with current design trends.

§  Has a well-developed eye for scale and balance while designing.

§  Understand timelines, finances, and contract management.

  • Directs preparation of and conducts interior design presentations to clients.
  • Independently researches and develops new and unique approaches on design solutions.
  • Initiates and creates space plans, three-dimension concepts and materials palettes.
  • Stays current with or influences the latest interior design trends, art, lighting, signage, color, products and materials, technology, and strategies for current workplace solutions.
  • Provides constructive feedback to individuals working on projects, providing ongoing design direction to ensure consistent and high-quality design throughout all project phases.
  • Ability to include all, collaborate, and recognize others’ contributions.
  • Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changes in priority or direction.
  • Ability and desire to self-start, ask questions, learn and grow.
  • Ability to nurture client relationships and manage expectations.
  • Ability to manage time and workflow.
