The Institute for Human Services (IHS) is Hawaii's most comprehensive human services agency dedicated to ending and preventing homelessness. For over 45 years, we've been at the forefront of creating tailored solutions for those in crisis, offering a continuum of care that includes emergency shelters, housing programs, health services, employment assistance, and outreach.
The Relocation Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families seeking assistance through our relocation program. Reporting to the Outreach Programs Manager, this role aims to help individuals reconnect with family and community networks, ultimately promoting stability and helping them exit homelessness. The coordinator will ensure all necessary documentation including financial obligations is collected, track successful relocations, and provide ongoing support to clients throughout the process.
Compensation :
Starting from $58,000.00 annually, actual pay commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions :
- Demonstrate excellent customer service consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
- Screening individuals and families to confirm eligibility based on criteria : being unsheltered or at risk, financial responsibility for half of airfare, and having an established support system at the destination.
- Assisting clients in completing the relocation pre-screening form and following up to discuss expectations and verify points of contact.
- Coordinating flight searches and collecting necessary payments from clients, providing receipts for transactions.
- Maintaining accurate records of relocations, including updating the Relocation Tracker, and conducting follow-ups post-travel to ensure successful arrivals.

Regular full time classification. General business hours, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours and days may vary based on the needs of the organization.
