IAHD is seeking a dedicated Residence Manager to oversee and manage a residential home at one of our Bronx locations. Your leadership will make a direct impact on the lives of individuals served while ensuring compliance with regulations and agency standards.

What Youll Do:
Supervision & Training: Provide direct supervision to Assistant Managers, DSPs, and consultants, ensuring they receive and maintain appropriate training and certifications.
Incident Management: Follow appropriate 624 procedures for incident reporting and documentation.
Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular physical plant inspections, monitor the program vehicle(s), and track all maintenance work.
Financial Oversight: Monitor and maintain financial ledgers, petty cash, and personal allowance accounts for individuals in the program.
Policy Implementation: Ensure agency policies and OPWDD regulations are followed, ensuring accurate documentation is filed accordingly.
Advocacy: Act as an advocate for the individuals we serve, respecting their choices and needs while ensuring quality care.
Committees: Serve on the Incident Review and Human Rights Committees and participate in special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
What Were Looking For:
Educational Requirements:
- BA in Human Services or related field with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, or
- An Associate Degree with at least 5 years of experience (including 2 years in a supervisory role).
Required Skills:
- Direct intervention experience, including crisis prevention and physical crisis intervention.
- Ability to assist non-ambulatory individuals during emergencies and daily activities.
- Knowledge of IRA regulations and OPWDD guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidentiality and professionalism are a must.
- Valid NY State Drivers License (6 points or less) and the ability to drive a 15-passenger van.
- Fully vaccinated (COVID-19).
Job Details:
Primary Location: North & South Bronx Area
Schedule: Full-Time 40HRS per week with on-call availability for emergencies
Travel Required: Must be willing to travel between IAHD programs in the Bronx and Westchester
