Senior Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer (SVP/CFO) to be a key leader at The Institutes. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven financial strategist to guide our organization through complex financial landscapes, lead transformative initiatives, and contribute to high-level decision-making at the helm of the business.
In this pivotal role, you will shape the organization’s financial strategy, lead all aspects of finance and select shared services departments. The CFO plays an instrumental part in our journey toward continued growth and success. You will be the driving force behind financial decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term strategic planning, with a direct impact on both the day-to-day and future health of the organization.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Financial Leadership
Direct and execute the organization’s financial strategy, collaborating closely with the Senior Management Team to align financial goals with our overarching business model and strategic initiatives. You will continuously analyze market trends as well as uncover growth opportunities through mergers and acquisitions.
Strategic Human Resources, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, & Facilities Leadership
Oversee the strategy for four shared services areas to ensure the departments are optimized for success and aligned with The Institutes culture.
Financial Stewardship & Compliance
Oversee and manage all financial functions, including treasury, cash flow, accounting, audits, tax compliance, capital investments, and retirement plans. You will ensure the financial health of the organization by maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards at all levels.
Innovative Technology Integration
Leverage cutting-edge technologies, including the integration of Gen AI and other innovations, to enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and streamline financial tasks.
Proactive Forecasting & Strategic Financial Health
Develop sophisticated forecasting models that not only anticipate short-term financial outcomes but also drive long-term strategic health.
Leadership and Team Development
Inspire and lead Finance, HR, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management and Facilities departments to achieve ambitious goals. You will foster a culture of collaboration and high performance, ensuring teams are aligned with organizational objectives while nurturing the development of talent across the organization.
Risk Management & Enterprise Protection
Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks that could impact the organization’s stability. Your proactive, enterprise-wide risk management strategy will ensure that potential threats are anticipated, minimized, and managed effectively.
Senior Management Team Engagement
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will play an essential role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization. You will offer insights and guidance to the team, ensuring alignment between the organization’s objectives and the financial strategy, while actively contributing to the organization’s broader vision.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CFO, SVP of Finance, or in a senior financial leadership role, with a track record of strategic financial planning, risk management, and growth.
- Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting, combined with hands-on expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree and/or CPA is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams, foster collaboration, and drive cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization’s bottom line.
- A forward-thinking approach to technology adoption, with a passion for leveraging new tools and innovations to optimize processes and decision-making.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
