Education Programming Specialist
This role is primarily responsible for managing the deliverables for the education component of CLM’s conferences, both live and virtual, which includes coordinating with CLM’s Committee and Community Chairs to ensure that session presentation materials are received by the deadline, speakers have been assigned and registered, and that CLM’s website is updated with all conference data. This role will also assist with course and session proposal screening and will facilitate informed conversation with CLM’s member base responsible for preparing presentation content.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with assigned Committees/Communities to coordinate objectives and meet established deadlines, i.e. topics and speakers confirmed, receipt of presentation materials and entry of conference related information into the company's website and any other event platform being used.
- Coordinate the organization’s Committees/Communities in order to collect and review presentation materials, including content for CE and/or CLE accreditation by the state agencies, and ensure materials meet company and state guidelines.
- Schedule and participate in all Committees/Communities related conference calls.
- Work with all Committees/Communities to coordinate and manage their work: writing articles for our magazines, preparing and presenting webinars, and presenting at conferences.
- Schedule Committees/Communities webinars, posting them on the appropriate websites, and providing support to the webinar moderator.
- Maintain detailed records (usually on an Excel spreadsheet) of the assigned conferences, deadlines for the deliverables, and status of completion.
- Communicate with members via e-mail or telephone, as necessary.
- Support organizational strategic initiatives and goals to achieve desired departmental results.
- Demonstrate urgency and high-level of customer service by handling a high volume of emails; and, read and reply to emails within 24 hours or as the urgency of the matter dictates.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which may include, but may not be limited to, answering phone calls, performing general office duties, or performing special projects across the Enterprise.
Required Competencies
Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates technical proficiency in areas of responsibility. Ensures the appropriately applied procedures, requirements, regulations, or policies related to specialized areas of expertise in the production of outputs or results.
Collaboration: Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
Time Management: Must be a highly self-motivated; demonstrate a high sense of urgency and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, deadline driven environment. Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational and follow up skills.
Customer Focus: Must be customer service oriented and exhibit the best interest of customers as the main priority when delivering goods or services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Associates Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Three to five years’ experience in a customer service or client-facing role.
- General understanding of the insurance industry with emphasis on claims resolution and litigation management is a plus.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet research, and general office technology required.
