Primary Responsibilities
- Respond and provide automation support during outages.
- Support the daily operations of the business unit through the installation, programming, start-up and maintenance of automation and process control equipment.
- Develop control strategies, provide input to P&IDs, control system specifications, termination diagrams, and commissioning plans.
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Information Technology Groups.
- Understand and follow MOC processes to ensure proper PLC Program updates and changes.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
- Execute Allen Bradley PLC based Control System Projects.
- Perform troubleshooting of Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC's and Wonderware HMI systems.
- Directly interface with clients and company management to report project status, risks and resolutions.
- Maintain thoroughness and attention to detail. A significant amount of time will be spent working with complex PLC programs and advanced process control systems.
- Accustomed with Deepwater Oil & Gas Processing Facilities.
- Proficiency in instrumentation required.
- Mastery of Control System Design and Project Execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from school of engineering and technology or technical institute or 5-year relevant work experience.
- 5 years of experience with Wonderware and AB ControlLogix PLCs.
- Must possess strong interpersonal and excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
- Adept analytical, problem solving, technical, and functional skills with the ability to multi-task and be willing to learn.
- Must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively, take direction, work well in a team environment, and interact with all levels of management, engineering, systems, operations and field personnel.
