ISA's Personnel / Industrial Security Specialist is an onsite position, located at our Arlington, VA HQ office and coordinates with our Facility Security Officer in the daily operations of protecting classified government information and monitoring security procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable industrial / personnel security requirements. This role requires the ability to coordinate and monitor aspects of the industrial security programs and security activities to support corporate compliance with government and ISA security policies and procedures. Qualified candidates will understand and be experienced with the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). This rule implements policy, establishes requirements, and provides procedures consistent with National Industrial Security Program (NISP) within the DoD and other Federal agencies. This role requires an individual be a dedicated problem-solver with demonstrated business acumen and the ability to coordinate all personnel security programs and communicate well with senior-level staff and agency officials.

Duties :
- Effectively and accurately support corporate process for personnel security clearances-prepare and submit nomination packets per contract requirements; provide employee security training, briefings, indoctrination, visit requests, and debriefings.
- Accurately process and pre-screen applications for completeness and accuracy; identify and resolve issues prior to submission; accurately and timely process and manage current periodic re-investigations as required.
- Administrative support to FSO in daily activities including, but not limited to : reporting, security incidents, compliance requirements, etc.
- Develops documentation for standard security operating procedures.
- Coordinates alarm tests and monitor security team response times.
- Trains and orients employees on security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company regulations.
- Ensure proper handling of classified information, asserts physical security of all categorized areas, and controls staff access, making certain that all sorted material (media, document, files, etc.) remains in the categorized area.
- Prepares, tracks, and monitors all classified contracts and Department of Defense Contract Security Classification Specification forms assigned to facility; monitors and ensures efficient protocol to all contractors and personnel; and assesses all contract documentations and files.
- Ensures compliance with all security requirements for personnel, information, and communications security.
- Collaborates and interacts with others in assisting in various disciplines of security, including personnel, physical, technical, and information systems in order to consider intrusion systems, operational, fire alarms, radios, and stay alerts; and acts as a first responder for any medical or other emergency situations.
- Makes infraction and incident reports and tour duty reports, and provides general reporting to outline other statistics such as classified medical responses, waste destroyed, etc.
- Prepares facility for required audits and vulnerability assessments conducted by various government agencies.
- Provides internal and external security patrols and inspections of facilities, inspects the security processes on a regular basis to avoid any issues, keeps track of the maintenance of all security programs, and ensures conformity to industrial security management disciplines and compliance with National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

Clearance Required :
Applicants must have at least an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a clearance at the TS / SCI level. Preference will be given to those who have an active TS / SCI clearance. Applicants must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hiring.
