Position Summary:

The Vice President of Tenant and Community Relations (Faith-Based) serves as a key member of The Interchurch Center’s executive leadership team. This individual will be responsible for strengthening relationships with faith-based and nonprofit tenant partners, enhancing community engagement, overseeing leasing strategy, and ensuring tenant satisfaction within the building. The VP will also contribute financial and operational insight to support strategic decision-making and maintain a vibrant, mission-driven tenant community.

Key Responsibilities:Tenant Relations & Leasing (Faith-Based Focus)

  • Serve as liaison to all tenant organizations, with a focus on mission-aligned and faith-based groups.
  • Lead proactive tenant engagement efforts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and partnership alignment with TIC’s values.
  • Collaborate with leasing partners and brokers to oversee leasing activities, including space planning, onboarding, renewals, and buildouts.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective tenants from the faith-based and nonprofit sectors.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Assist with design and implementation of programs and events that build community among tenants and highlight tenant missions.
  • Cultivate relationships with local and regional faith leaders, nonprofit executives, and civic institutions to grow TIC’s visibility and impact.

Operations & Project Oversight

  • Collaborate with the building management team to ensure high standards of maintenance, hospitality, and functionality throughout the facility.
  • Assist and oversee cross-departmental projects including capital improvements, event planning, or tenant-led initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic partner in aligning facility operations with tenant needs and community expectations.

Financial Stewardship & Strategy

  • Assist in financial planning related to occupancy, tenant services, and leasing revenue.
  • Monitor budgets, track leasing income, and work with the finance team to provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of and respect for faith-based communities, with experience working in or with religious institutions or nonprofits.
  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in nonprofit administration, commercial real estate, leasing, or community relations.
  • Proven leadership in building management, project oversight, or tenant coordination.
  • Strong financial acumen; experience in budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting financial reports.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in NYC nonprofit or religious ecosystems strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Divinity, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field. Or-
  • Bachelor's Degree with equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of building systems, space planning, and capital project workflows.
  • Familiarity with faith-based initiatives and ability to navigate multi-denominational environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
