Job Summary: The High School Dean of Students provides administrative assistance in areas assigned by the Upper School Principal in a 9th through 12th grade facility, including student supervision, specifically in attendance, discipline, guidance, instructional leadership improvement and a variety of student body activities.

Duties/Responsibilities: In collaboration with the Upper School Principal acts as a resource to teachers in their instructional practice, especially as it relates to issues of discipline, relationships with students, classroom management, and school culture.
In collaboration with the Upper School Principal and Grade Level coordinators, leads events, clubs and activities that supports the holistic education of students and builds a positive school culture.
- Assists the principal in maintaining standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere and effective participation in all activities.
- Plans and implements activities designed for student development in alignment with the IB learner profile and the values of respect, responsibility and effort.
- Assists the Principal and Assistant Principal (Middle School) in the coordination of campus security, facilities and grounds.
- Challenges students to be ISI Gryphons in good standing, which means they are able to participate in extracurricular activities, co-curricular activities, maintain privileges, and attend school-sponsored events such as dances, athletic events, and graduation.
- Actively provides follow-up on student behavior matters in regards to teacher log entries.
- Meets and confers with parents and school personnel in developing alternative solutions to student attendance and discipline problems and concerns.
- Develops protocols to mitigate student attendance and punctuality problems.
- Creates and monitors student intervention plans in collaboration with the high school student support services team.
- Provides ongoing support for international students, addressing academic, personal, and cultural challenges.
- Organizes and facilitates orientation programs, workshops, and social events designed to help international students acclimate to their new environment.
- Assists in the supervision of students before, during, and after the school day, in collaboration with the Upper School Principal and Grade Level Coordinators.
- Maintains a liaison with social service and youth service agencies in pursuing referral follow-ups in collaboration with the High School Support Services Team.
- Evaluates or assists in the performance of high school teachers as it relates to issues of discipline, relationships with students, classroom management, and school culture.
- Assists with the planning and implementing of school programs such as student attendance/discipline, transportation, student government, break/lunch duties and X Block.
- Attends and provides supervision at school activities occurring during late afternoon and evening hours.
- Assists in planning and organizing students events and activities.
- Coordinates the planning, development and revision of student and teacher handbooks, manuals, orientation materials and forms in collaboration with the Upper School Leadership Team.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in high school education, educational leadership, student affairs or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in high school teaching, educational leadership, students affairs, or similar

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
