Job Summary :
A driven and detail-oriented Controller is needed to lead accounting and financial operations for a growing organization. This is a hands-on role requiring advanced expertise in Sage Intacct, financial reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong understanding of GAAP, and brings experience in smaller companies within industries such as real estate, capital / asset management, or private equity. The position requires full-time onsite work and is suited for someone with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Responsibilities :
Manage accounting operations, including advanced Sage Intacct processes and configurations.
Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Oversee FP&A activities, including process optimization and financial analysis.
Collaborate across teams to support business objectives and financial goals.
Ensure high standards of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and operations.
Contribute to process flow development and mentor small teams, as needed.
Requirements :
4-6 years of accounting experience, ideally in smaller company settings.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Advanced proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Organized, creative, and resourceful with a proven track record of success.
Pluses :
Experience with financial modeling, analysis, and reporting software.
Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools.
Background in audit (not limited to Big 4) with strong interpersonal skills.
Expertise in FP&A, budgeting, and modeling.
Prior experience in the real estate industry or related fields.
Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
