Data Governance Lead
We are seeking a Data Governance Lead to join a highly skilled team responsible for optimizing metadata assets and ensuring the integrity, trust, and quality of data across the organization. In this role, you will oversee the management and implementation of data governance practices, focusing on data classification, metadata management, and data lineage. Your work will be critical in ensuring that data remains reliable, accurate, and aligned with business requirements, fostering strong relationships across various teams and departments.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain and improve the data catalog, ensuring the availability and accessibility of datasets while enhancing metadata management for improved data trust.
Compile, document, and maintain metadata for various data assets and workflows.
Support the implementation of data lineage collection processes to ensure end-to-end transparency of commercial data flows.
Facilitate the alignment of Reference and Master Data processes with enterprise standards and local
Lead and manage cross-functional working groups to implement data governance policies and best practices.
Collaborate with IT, business units, and external partners to define and implement technical solutions related to data governance.
Support business stakeholders in data acquisition, usage, and third-party sharing agreements, ensuring compliance with governance policies.
Key Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (, Computer / Data Science, Information Technology, Risk Management, Analytics, Accounting / Finance, etc.).
7 years of experience in data stewardship and governance roles, including extensive experience with data governance platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.
Collibra Data Steward certification required, with Ranger certification preferred.
Expertise in building and refining Data Catalogs, Data Dictionaries, and Business Glossaries.
Strong understanding of data systems, system architecture, data warehouses, and governance platforms.
Solid knowledge of data governance frameworks, data domains, business rules, and data quality standards.
Experience designing and implementing Collibra workflows to enhance data quality and management processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
