What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Consultant position at The Intersect Group?
The Intersect Group has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Payroll Kronos Consultant to provide comprehensive assessment of payroll processes and workflows. This person will provide training based on analysis of workflows and make recommendations for improvement. Training shall consist of the payroll specialists and the Director of Finance.
This is a contract opportunity
Compensation: 25-30/hr.
Responsibilities to include as follows:
- Assess the processes of preparing bi-weekly payroll through the use of the Kronos Payroll platform.
- Evaluate the collection and calculations of daily, weekly, bi-weekly timesheets.
- Ensure wages and taxes withholdings comply with regulations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reconcile data.
- Preparing payroll reports for management and auditing processes to include summary of earnings, tax deductions, leave, PTO and non-taxable wages. .
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and best practices.
- Evaluate the process of updates performed to payroll records by entering any changes to employee information and benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions.
- Calculate payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, calculate employer payments for unemployment, social security, and worker’s compensation.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies.
- All payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
- Assess the processing and issuing of W-2 information/form.
- Make recommendations for to align payroll processes with best practices
Qualifications:
- Kronos is required
- Must have experience doing audits and updates within Kronos
- Experience being a "subject matter expert" for the team
Salary : $25 - $30
