Position Overview : Join our team as a PC Technician, where you’ll have the opportunity to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, support end users, and contribute to the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. This is a dynamic role that offers plenty of variety, with a focus on customer service and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Contribute to desktop replacement project from Windows 10 to Windows 11
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on PCs and peripheral devices, working independently with minimal supervision.
Quickly identify and resolve common LAN and Internet connectivity issues to ensure smooth user experiences.
Apply standard diagnostic principles to resolve technical problems, using a blend of established theories, techniques, and innovative problem-solving.
Document all actions taken in a help desk ticketing system, ensuring thorough records from start to finish.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with users throughout the troubleshooting process, providing timely updates and resolutions.
Continuously provide high-level customer service with a patient, professional demeanor while working efficiently to resolve issues.
Actively contribute to improving services, assisting team members, and proactively finding solutions to common IT challenges.
Qualifications :
Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, desktop support tools, remote control tools, and networking protocols.
Proficient in working with personal computing hardware and software, local area networks, and peripherals.
Experience creating system images for laptops and desktops using industry-standard tools.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical customers.
Ability to maintain high levels of customer service in a demanding environment, with a focus on attention to detail and timely problem resolution.
Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively in a dynamic technical environment.
Adaptable and quick to learn new software applications and tools.
Three (3) years of related experience in computer / network maintenance, desktop support, or troubleshooting within a Windows 10 environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Strong observational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recommend effective repairs and workarounds.
Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to identify and report inventory needs (missing items, shortages, repairs).
Ability to manage time effectively and communicate when timelines or expectations shift.
