The Intersect Group is seeking a Senior Database Engineer for our direct healthcare client, where you will be responsible for designing and building databases / data warehouses to store and manage healthcare claims and financial data. This position will analyze data, develop, test, and implement processes to load it, and assist with reporting. This person will have a strong understanding of RDBMS / Data Warehouse concepts, along with knowledge of claims or financial data.

Location : Fully remote but would like someone local to Dallas who can easily come in for occasional meetings in Addison (75001)

Needs :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- 6 years’ experience in designing / modeling, and building data warehouses and data marts
- 6 years' experience building database objects in SQL Server : complex queries, stored procedures, tables, views, functions, indexes, etc.
- 2 years’ experience working with Healthcare claims (835 / 837 files) or Financial data
- Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies, technologies, and tools
- Experience working with Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory data pipelines highly desired
- Experience building Power BI dashboards strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to understand, discuss and document complex data models
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- Ability to manage and complete multiple concurrent projects in a timely manner
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
